With an aim to create global competencies in theautomotive sector by promoting innovation, Research and Development andopening of global test centres, the budget outlay ofthe NATRiP (National Automotive Testing and Research and Development Infrastructure Project) centre was increased to INR 3727crore in July 2016.The time line for completion ofNATRiP centres is December 31, 2017 except for theIndore Centre which is June 2019.
